Project Story
This project began with an existing architectural model and drawing set for a custom home in McCall, Idaho. The client wanted the home to be developed into a full visual package, with exterior views, interior renders, and animation helping the design feel much more real before the next stage. The plans already defined the main structure and area, so our focus was to translate that information into visuals with the right mood, scale, and atmosphere.
The design direction was very clear from the references: dark exterior tones, natural wood, stone, black-framed windows, warm garage doors, and a cozy mountain-house feeling. For the interiors, the inspiration leaned into wood beams, stone fireplaces, warm floors, soft lighting, and calm spaces that feel connected to nature.
As the project moved forward, we kept the process focused on understanding the client’s taste and bringing the small details together carefully. The goal was not to make the home feel overly polished or generic, but to keep the character grounded, warm, and personal — the kind of place that feels natural in a wooded setting and comfortable from both inside and outside.
The final direction became a complete rustic mountain home story, combining strong exterior presence with warm interior moments and a visual style that feels calm, natural, and ready to be experienced.
